Dear Inspiring Marvel,

Just in case you didn’t know, you inspire me! Connecting with kindred spirits on PlanetSARK.com, on the Inspiration Line, or during my travels, always fills me with creative inspiration. Even if we haven’t met in person, by phone or Internet, I can feel you growing and glowing in your life. This is part of what fuels me to write and create. It’s a giant circle of creative energy, spinning. Let’s take a spin together. I’d like to share something I wrote in my book “Make Your Creative Dreams REAL” to remind you:

For your endearing soul and rare insights, for your impossible moods and hopeless moments. For your rage and despair and explorations in shadows and darkness, for your resistance and conflict and refusal to feel good, or do good things.

For your selflessness and especially for your selfishness. For your pathetic vulnerable times and for all your splendidly human moments. For your incandescent spirit and ingenious escapes. For your will and suffering. For everything that you’ve tried to hide. For your failings and attempts and for all that you have lost and found. For your regrets and loneliness and for every fear that has ever stalked you. For your neurotic bumbling. For radiant knowledge and countless expressions of love. You are inspiring to me because you are exquisitely YOU.

Isn’t it funny that what we most try to hide or conceal is what others find most inspiring or endearing about us?

I want to encourage you to know that you are inspiring to me and others. I invite you to revel in your inspiring self! Especially when you feel the least inspiring.

I've rewritten and updated my very first book. I've just seen the first copy, and it's absolutely gorgeous! It's called SARK's New Creative Companion: Ways To Free Your Creative Spirit. It's FULL of color and has 16 additional pages, including a brand-new introduction, two new color posters, and lots of new drawings. When I first wrote this book in 1990 and saw the first published copy, I said that it GLOWED -- I'm thrilled to say that it's still glowing today.
