WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK

I’ve made a lot of my creative dreams REAL:

Publishing 12 books, creating hundreds of products, and owning a company, are a few of these dreams. I’ve learned a lot about struggle and success, and what it takes to turn dreams from a tiny idea into a big, blooming REAL thing.

By real, I mean the “real stuff” of life – the changes, disappointments and distractions. I continue to procrastinate, avoid, and allow perfectionism to sometimes slow me down or stop me – but not for too long!

I wrote this book as a friendly guide for this process of creative dream-making. This book will assist you if you’re sailing along with your dreams, stuck, quitting, failing or feeling jealous of someone else’s dreams.

The fact is, we’re all creative dreamers and only some of us know how to make them real, visible and active every day. You are one of those people, you just might not know it yet.

You have everything you need right now to begin living more of your creative dreams, and this book runs, walks or crawls every step with you. It will also lie down to rest with you too. The pace is entirely up to you. This is not a demanding, time intensive program. This program is forgiving, adaptable and can fit into small increments of time in your life. These small increments of time can quickly and easily grow and multiply into brand-new creative dreams.

Your creative dreams will be supported and sheltered by this book, and your “splendid imperfections,” hiding places and avoidances will be honored.

Welcome to even more of your creative dreams being made REAL.

Let’s do a creative dream dance!

The Author’s LOOK INSIDE by SARK

Here’s my quick tour through the book:

Fantastic First Month

You’ll choose your creative dream here. If you don’t know how, you’ll be assisted by the Creative Dream Activator, and shown categories of creative dreams.

Succulent Second Month

In the “Land of NO” you’ll explore what stops you, and lean to transform and reframe those beliefs.

Treasured Third Month

You’ll spend time in the “World of YES” where you’ll learn how you CAN and WILL live more of your creative dreams.

Feisty Fourth Month

This is where you’ll learn and practice my MicroMOVEment method. This incredibly simple method works even if you don’t want to.

In months 5 to 8, you’ll learn about support and commitment, read inspiring stories, and see photographs of other creative dreamers. You’ll visit some difficult parts of actually living your dreams, and learn to do more things badly and NOT work harder.

In months 9 to 11 you and your creative dreams will be nourished, you’ll be guided to what your dreams need to continue growing, and how to manage creative dream growth.

In the Twelfth month you’ll be celebrating your creative dream growth.

There is a section of questions about creative dreams with my answers, and a quick reference of dream-stoppers and dream-starters.

At the end of each chapter, there are games or things to try, (I don’t have exercises in my books, because every time I see that word in a book, I don’t do what it says).

A gift, because our imagination needs telepathic gifts, positive challenges (which is my version of “I dare you”) and radiant resources, lots of books and websights to inspire and support you.

One of my newest creative dreams is this websight and the expanded community at planetsark.com. It’s our “creative community built from the heart.” Planet SARK supports your creative dreams with lots of free stuff like the group finder, so you can find or start a creative dream group in your area, the Creative Dream Accelerator Team (CDAT) and Lounge & Chat forums on the Marvelous Message Board, my monthly eLetter (e stands for energy), and an “Ask Jupiter” feature. You can also subscribe to have your own personal web space where you can create and share your creative dreams with other members in the Planet SARK Community.

I have chosen an excerpt from the book to expand on, with a personal story to share how my own creative dream living requires transformation:

The Finest of Evenings

I’m also reminded how fast we can change and transform. I remember that night, going out for a walk. I felt crabby and lonely and overworked. None of my friends were available, and I reluctantly went walking and hoped to have some kind of shift in my mood. In the fading light of day, and just before twilight, I sat down on some stone steps near my house. A man walked up the steps past me, carrying an easel and wearing a snug black beret. There was something twinkling about him and I said “Good evening.” He replied “It is the finest of evenings!” We talked about the particular purple light of the night sky, and soon he sat down and told me his story of being a painter. He had left his conventional job and had hitch-hiked to San Francisco in the early 70’s and had been painting on the street since then. He paints small scenes of the city and sells them on various street corners. We discussed art and freedom and the necessity to let ourselves experience all the wonders of life. That’s when he said that he hoped I’d tell people to have the courage to let loose the wonders inside. I told him that I had literally just written that line before leaving my house for my walk!

I came home feeling restored, filled up and transformed. It doesn’t take long to change. It can happen in an instant: our creative dreams can grow like this too.
